ScholarBookresearch output, verified
Evidence & audit

A publication doesn't count until it's confirmed — by evidence, not by algorithm.

Your faculty submit their own work by name, but that alone isn't enough — ScholarBook checks it against ORCID, PubMed and CrossRef, and your research office reviews it, before it becomes official institutional output.

Four states

Every submitted work sits in exactly one of these, always visible.

Submitted

A faculty member added it, or a department admin added it on their behalf. Not yet reviewed.

Verified

Checked against ORCID/PubMed/CrossRef where a DOI exists. Waiting on your office's review.

Accepted

Confirmed by evidence and your reviewer. Counts in your report.

Rejected / disputed

Contradicted by an independent source, or flagged by your team.

What backs an "accepted" record

Every claim traces back to something you can point to.

ORCID match

The author's own public ORCID record lists this exact work — their own statement, not a name-similarity guess.

PubMed / CrossRef confirmation

The paper's own publisher-submitted affiliation record names your institution — checked against the registry directly, never a re-fetch of the publisher's site.

A reviewer's own note

When the registries are silent or conflicting, a person on your team decides — and that decision, with its reasoning, becomes part of the record.

Self-reported, clearly labelled

A paper a faculty member typed in by hand (no DOI to verify against) is marked as self-reported — never presented as if it came from an open registry.
